Life Entities

What Are Life Entities?

In the Digital World, a Life Entity is a human or real-world entity with inherent rights that exist independent of any digital system. Life Entities are first-class citizens, not "users" or "accounts."

Characteristics

  • Pre-existence: Life Entities exist before and beyond digital systems
  • Inherent Rights: Rights are not granted by platforms but are intrinsic
  • Persistence: Life Entities persist across applications and platforms
  • Sovereignty: Full control over identity, data, and assets

Types of Life Entities

Individual Humans

Natural persons with full rights and capabilities in the Digital World.

Organizations

Legal entities (corporations, nonprofits, DAOs) that operate as Life Entities with specific governance structures.

Hybrid Entities

Combinations of individuals and organizations working together with shared or delegated rights.

Life Entity Lifecycle

  1. Genesis: Creation of a Life Entity in the Digital World
  2. Evolution: Growth and changes over time
  3. Continuity: Persistence across system changes
  4. Legacy: Inheritance and succession planning

Relationship to Identity

Life Entities have identities, but they are not their identities. Identity is a tool for verification, not the essence of the entity.
