Language & Vocabulary Control

Layer 0 requires controlled vocabulary so the system cannot be captured by redefining words.

Required Definitions (Examples)

  • Human / Life Entity: a real person or recognized entity, not an account.
  • Identity: an entity’s verifiable representation, not a platform login.
  • Ownership: the root right to control an asset or data container.
  • Access: granted capability to use or view without owning.
  • Custody: holding control on behalf of another.
  • Settlement: final transfer without ongoing counterparty promise.
  • Asset: a persistent object with rights and lifecycle, independent of applications.

Naming Rules

  • Layer numbers must match documentation numbers.
  • Terms must be used consistently across layers.
  • If a term is overloaded in industry, the Digital World definition must be explicit.

Forbidden Ambiguities

  • “User” when you mean “human” or “entity”
  • “Account” when you mean “identity”
  • “Ownership” when you mean “access”
  • “Decentralized” when control is centralized in practice
